| XY STAGES & GRIPPERS |
SMAC have recently added to their range of XY's with their smallest ever stage, the LXY10 and a mini XYZ is currently in development. In addition our grippers continue to find use in many markets, one of their key features being the ability to independantly control each jaw.
LXY10Our diminuitive XY stage, shown above right, measuring only 65mm x 65mm x 81mm. It has been developed in conjunction with the Universty of Illinois to from part of a micro-machining system. Standard encoder resolution is 5 micron with a 1 micron option. Click here to read the Iniversity of Illinois report on the development of the LXY10. LXY25The LXY25, which is shown above left, is a more robust stage with 25mm of stroke in each axis together with peak forces of 42N. |

GRP35SMAC grippers have the advantage of independently controlled jaws. The GRP35, shown above left, has a maximum jaw opening of 30mm and each jaw, or finger, can exert a peak force of 25N. The jaws each have a low moving mass of only 100g and are ideal for manipulating and handling of delicate samples. The soft land technique ensures that fragile components are not harmed. GRP50The GRP50, above right, shares the same attributes as the GRP30 but has an increased peak force of 45N. To achieve this performance it is recommended that it runs off a 48volt supply. GRP17The diminuitive GRP17, shown above together with the GRP30&50, is still in development and beta testing. More details can be found on our new products page. |
