| CONTROLLERS & ADD ON MODULES |
SMAC supply a variety of controllers and amplifiers to support their Actuators. The controllers allow code to be stored in non-volatile RAM which is then used to enable movements to be made in 3 different modes. These modes are desdribed in detail on the technical info page.

LAC1A single axis controller with 8 TTL I/O channels, 3 analogue I/P channels and RS232 interface. LAC25A dual axis controller with 4 opto isolated I/O channels, 2 analogue I/O channels and RS232 interface. The LAC25 can be used to control either a single Linear/Roatary actuator or alternatively two independant Linear actuators. It is also necessary for grippers. LAA5A stand alone single axis amplifier which can be used in conjunction with any propriertary controller. It provides +/-10Volt I/P, 3amp O/P. LAD1The LAD1 is used to convert stepper inputs to 3amp servo output. This is particularly useful wherever a SMAC unit is retrofitted to, or integrated into a stepper driven machine. MIO E - 8/8If more I/O channels
are required then the MIO can be linked to either the
LAC1 and LAC25 to give 16 I/O channels. |
